The New Orleans Saints have made significant roster adjustments, parting ways with fullback Zander Horvath and bringing in cornerback Kaleb Ford-Dement. Horvath, who joined the Saints in March and played 15 games for the Chargers in 2022, now leaves Adam Prentice as the sole fullback on the roster. Horvath’s release highlights the Saints’ shift in offensive strategy, potentially signaling a more streamlined approach to their backfield options as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, the addition of Ford-Dement strengthens the Saints’ defensive backfield. Though undrafted, Ford-Dement showcased his talent at Texas State with 32 tackles, one sack, three tackles for loss, and three interceptions. The Saints’ secondary is now bolstered with an intriguing mix of experience and youth, including key players like Marshon Lattimore and emerging talents like Kool-Aid McKinstry. These moves reflect the team’s ongoing effort to fine-tune their roster for both depth and versatility ahead of the season.
