Los Angeles Chargers running back Najee Harris hasn’t missed a game in his four-year NFL career, but a Fourth of July fireworks injury threatened that 68-game streak. While there still isn’t any guarantee he’ll be available Week 1 in Brazil against Kansas City, Harris has made enough progress to avoid the non-football injury list. Instead, he’ll take a spot on the 53-man roster and be eligible to return as soon as he’s deemed healthy rather than being required to sit until Week 4. The Chargers have a rebuilt running back room, signing Harris as a free agent and drafting Omarion Hampton out of North Carolina in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
