Dallas Cowboys (3-3-1) cornerback Trevon Diggs is still in concussion protocol, head coach Brian Schottenheimer said Wednesday. Diggs was at The Star, though obviously wasn’t practicing.
Schottenheimer’s update is status quo of what he said Monday. Diggs, 27, had an accident in his home last Thursday night which resulted in him suffering a concussion. While he missed the game against the Washington Commanders (3-4), Schottenheimer initially said he expected Diggs to be OK.
“This is the NFL , and if you’re unsure what’s going to happen, just wait because something is going to happen,” Schottenheimer said last Friday. “And you deal with it, and you don’t lose sleep over it. The biggest thing is just the concern for Trevon that he’s OK. But seems like he is.”
Team owner/general manager Jerry Jones addressed Diggs’ injury following the 44-22 Week 7 win over the Commanders on Sunday. Jones said he spoke with Diggs directly, though he declined to divulge specifics of how the concussion happened.
