Dallas Cowboys’ sixth-year cornerback Trevon Diggs has not played since Oct. 12 after being placed on IR earlier this season. Diggs suffered an accident at his home that put him in concussion protocol and ultimately on Injured Reserve.
During a hit on 105.3 The Fan Friday morning, Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones was asked whether or not Diggs is still able to play to the level expected of him. The Alabama alum signed a five-year, $97 million contract extension with the franchise in July 2023.
“I don’t know. I don’t know. No one knows,” Jones said. “We’ll just see how it goes. He’s obviously been limited, so we’ll see how that goes.”
Jerry Jones was asked on @1053thefan about CB Trevon Diggs, who’s currently on IR, and whether he can play to the level they want him to.

Diggs spent the preseason on the physically unable to perform list, but started Dallas’ first six games of the regular season. He’s recorded 18 tackles this season. After Dallas’ win over the Commanders on Oct. 19, Jones said he spoke with Diggs about his concussion. He declined to reveal how exactly the two-time Pro Bowler suffered the injury.
“I don’t know the combination of the injury and how it impacted, regarding concussion issue, I’m not sure that I know the detail of how that happened,” Jones said, via Jeff Kolb of FOX 4 News. “He said what happened, and I’m not saying that didn’t happen.
“But a lot of times, you’re not the best viewer of what happened to you. … Yeah, no, I won’t get into that, but the bottom line is that I do expect him back.”
