Tua Tagovailoa and his relationship with Tyreek Hill can certainly be classified as murky going into Miami Dolphins training camp. He said it was a “work in progress.”

Hill, following a Week 18 loss during the 2024 season, said “I’m out bro.” Safe to say, that didn’t sit well with Tagovailoa, considering his star wide receiver gave cryptic comments about his future with the team.

But, Hill is back with the Dolphins in 2025 and ready to get to work. But, it’s not all sunshines and rainbows between Tagovailoa and Hill.

“When you say something like that you don’t just come back with ‘My bad.’ You gotta work that relationship up,” Tagovailoa said, via Cameron Wolfe. “He is working on himself.”

Hill caught just two passes for 20 yards on three targets during that final game last year. The 31-year-old finished the 2024 season with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns. The yards total are Hill’s lowest since the 2019 season when he recorded 860 yards in 12 games with the Kansas City Chiefs. The TD catches are tied for the lowest of Hill’s career.
