New York Giants fans began chanting Jaxson Dart ‘s name during the Sunday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs. As the first half was ending, a group of fans started chanting “We want Dart,” because starting quarterback Russell Wilson was struggling. The fans did this as the Giants’ training staff was attending to linebacker Brian Burns , who was dealing with an injury.
It’s understandable why the fans wanted to see Jaxson Dart. Russell Wilson threw for just 39 yards with two interceptions in the first half on Sunday. The Giants selected Dart in the first round (No. 25 overall) in this year’s draft, so fans are ready to see if Dart can turn things around.

Earlier this month, Dart shared his reaction to being named the backup quarterback to Russell Wilson. “My job’s just to be prepared each and every week,” Dart said, per the Giants’ official website. “We have a great quarterback room, and I think that all of us have the exact same approach of not looking in so much of being on the field but just preparing each and every day for whenever and however an opportunity may come.

“So, we got a great room of guys and guys who are just competing. It’s been cool to kind of have that relationship with everybody where we can lead and at the same time just have the trust to communicate with one another and prepare each and every one of us.”
