New Orleans,LA – The New Orleans Pelicans star forward Zion Williamson is leaving the NBA Bubble due to “urgent family medical matter” according to reports.
The Pelicans Vice President of Basketball Operations David Griffin was quoted saying on the matter “We fully support Zion’s decision to leave the NBA campus to be with his family, Out of respect for the Williamson family, we will have no further comment at this time.”
The NBA testing mandates that a player must be tested daily while away from the bubble. Once said player wishes to return after being tested daily will only be quarantine for four days. If no testing has occurred the rules say a mandatory 10 day quarantine will happen before a return to play.
The Pelicans practices have been smooth and focused according to observers. The team faces an uphill battle with 8 remaining games to make the playoffs. We pray whatever the emergency is that Zion’s family is fine okay and were hoping for the best.
